[Linux-disciples] Conf files

When a package tells me that there's a new conf file
available, but that I've configured my own version of that
conf file on disk, I get nervous: if I keep the on-disk
version -- which I invariably do -- am I going to miss some
important update? Apparently /etc/apache/httpd.conf has just
been updated, but I've thoroughly tweaked my own httpd.conf;
I'm not going to overwrite it.

Should I worry when I don't grab the newest versions?
Presumably well-behaved programs don't put anything crucial
in a conf file that probably won't be used. But should I be
concerned?

  As a matter of fact, I like bombing countries.

  KING: You do?

  STEWART: Well, just purely for the knowledge of geography.
  It's just fascinating to learn about these countries.''
