[Linux-disciples] df weirdness

Often when I ask Linux questions, I feel like a newbie. But
I think this one counts as a question that would have thrown
most people.

First, it turns out that the standard tulip module will make
my card work fine [1]. The module loaded fine, but I got an
"unrecognized kernel version" error when I tried to ifup
eth0. The reason why is here:
http://www.yak.net/fqa/398.html

`In debian stable (and maybe unstable, I haven't looked),
the /sbin/dhclient script doesn't know about the 2.6 kernel
yet. (If you boot up 2.6.0 and don't get a DHCP lease, and
you notice "Unrecognized kernel version" in the output of
the ifup command, this is your problem.) The solution is to
edit /sbin/dhclient and change "2.[12345].*)" to
"2.[123456].*)"'

That's pretty awful, if you ask me. But you didn't.

So now the networking's up and df works. I'm having some X
problems, which will hopefully disappear in a bit. Thanks
for all your help.
