This account of what happened is accurate; he was speaking on his cellphone
at the time. There was no collision, but I think his handlebar twisted
around and caused the wreck. I got the hospital information from the EMTs
and checked on him twice last night. I did not speak to him personally, but
at 11 or so he was still being seen, and by the time I called back at about
2am, he had already been released, and is expected to make a full recovery..

Thanks to everyone for keeping calm, calling 911, blocking the road, and
especially for providing medical treatment before the ambulance arrived.
