[Linux-disciples] Xinerama troubles

Without answering your questions, have you looked at all the linux-laptop
pages for your exact model of laptop, or failing that, an IBM Thinkpad
with the same graphics card as yours? I've always found it quite
difficult to troubleshoot xorg.conf issues and there's a very high chance
someone has already done it and posted it on the web if it's possible.
It may be that Xinerama support is not yet available for your specific
laptop. It also might be that your laptop's graphics card doesn't support
dual head at all.
Note that Xinerama might not be what you want--there are various
dual-head modes, and Xinerama is just one of them.
