Word to the wise: if you're copying someone else's xorg.conf
to your local machine to look at it and borrow bits of its
configuration, don't copy that xorg.conf file into your home
directory. I only just now learned that x.org looks into
~/xorg.conf before it looks in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. The
config options in ~/xorg.conf can cause immense frustration
while you try to figure out why X.org isn't starting.
