[Linux-disciples] CUPS wants a password

Thanks, but there is no group cups, so I made one and added nahash. I added
nahash to lp, but to no avail.

I have spent some time researching this and am still coming up short. I
suppose I do not really need HPLIP, but there is a related annoyance. I
cannot print until I set

nahash at ubuntu:~$ sudo chmod 777 /dev/lp0

and then it resets after a reboot and I have to do it all over again. This
is rather cumbersome. Where is it getting the idea to reset permissions?

Thanks.

and must do, not as most do, but as the best do."
