Hm. So with DMA and burnfree both turned on, it went fine.
Disabling burnfree gave me a buffer underrun and the write
failed. Disabling DMA didn't do anything bad, other than
increasing the load on my system.
Which is odd, because I swear that turning on DMA before was
leading to a lot of SeekErrors at boot time that seemed
related to the CD troubles I had been having. Hm.
So now my question is: how do I get the GNOME CD burner to
use the cdrecord parameters that worked for me? I'd prefer
not to use the CLI to do burns, if only for reasons of Linux
salesmanship.
