Ah. Well, we have

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 38478 2005-07-11 23:47 changelog.Debian.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 83503 2005-07-11 23:47 copyright
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 64753 2005-07-12 00:22 DESIGN.gz
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2005-07-13 14:41 examples
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1881 2005-07-11 23:47 NEWS.Debian.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2874 2005-07-12 00:22 README.XKB-Config.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8372 2005-07-12 00:22 README.XKB-Enhancing.gz

in /usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg , which I presume is
identical to the Debian one. Kinda feels like cheating.

In the changelog, there are a few versions. Shouldn't I be
able to back up to an earlier versions via

sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg=6.8.2-34

for instance? Or do I have to have a repository that stores
older versions?

Sorry for the newbie-sounding questions.
