The directory /etc/dovecot is new in one of the recent
minor-version upgrades to Dovecot, apparently. I just
upgraded and got the new directory structure.
Making that file world-readable didn't change anything. Now
I get
(00:27) slaniel at TheloniousMonk:~$ fetchmail
Fatal: Can't use SSL key file /etc/ssl/private/dovecot.pem: Permission denied
fetchmail: socket error while fetching from laniels.org
fetchmail: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
The permissions on /etc/ssl/... are
-rw-r----- 1 root dovecot 887 2004-07-25 08:27 dovecot.pem
with that group-readability having been added by me just
now; it didn't change the error that Fetchmail gave back.
