[Linux-disciples] vCards

I got a large vCard file today from a coworker, containing a
bunch of names and addresses that I really need to look at.
KAddressbook offers some hope of opening it (go to Import;
vCards are an option), but the import goes nowhere: no
errors (even when I run KAddressbook from the console), no
items imported into the addressbook ... nothin'. Does anyone
here have any experience opening such files?
