The things to realize, I think, are
- rexima (or whatever program) might not get the names right of the
different mixer settings
- those volume sliders on recording devices sometimes (maybe always) are
not the *recording* volume, but the volume of that recording device's
feedback output (i.e., the sound going back out the speaker from the
mic)
- some third thing so that this list has three items
