I can't figure out how to get smartctl to display the LBA of
the damaged sector (it's just one sector). /var/log/syslog
contains

Nov 30 11:06:23 JeffTweedy smartd[1212]: Device: /dev/hdd, 1 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Nov 30 11:06:23 JeffTweedy smartd[1212]: Device: /dev/hdd, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors

Then smartctl -a /dev/hdd gives

197 Current_Pending_Sector 0x0012 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 1
198 Offline_Uncorrectable 0x0012 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 1

And yet see below for the list of tests, none of which list
the LBA of the failed sector. I ran
smartctl -t long /dev/hdd, which I would have expected
would flag this error if anything would. But no dice
apparently.

smartctl is obviously aware of the bad sector, so there must
be some way to extract the information about which sector it
is. Any ideas?
