[Linux-disciples] Smarter symlinks

I symlinked a bunch of files, then renamed the files that
the symlinks pointed to. Hence the symlinks didn't work
anymore. This suggests one of two solutions to me: either
1) make the shell keep better track of symlinks, so that the
shell will change the symlink if the referent moves (and
will alert the user if the referent is deleted)
or
2) write a utility that will scour symlinks systemwide and
tell you which ones are dead.
I'm certain the latter exists, but how about the former?

recommended practices, the idea no longer is blasphemy,
but rather hygiene, pleasure which is hygiene too, and a
charmed and *interesting* life. An *interesting* life is
the supreme concept of dullards.''
