[Linux-disciples] IgnoreCase in Apache mod_autoindex

I encountered this bug in Apache:

Namely: the IgnoreCase option within mod_autoindex doesn't
work, even though it should:

I'm running stable Apache, which I think explains why I've
not gotten the fix mentioned in that first link. Yet if I
try to upgrade Apache, apt tells me that it's going to
remove a whole lot of stuff (see list below), including
abiword and straw and a lot of things that don't really seem
to make sense here. Am I missing something? Why should doing
an

sudo apt-get install -t unstable apache

cause so many upgrades?
