I believe the problem is not with ssh, but with name lookup.  Try 'dig
bostoncoop.net' or 'nslookup bostoncoop.net' to verify.  (You might
have to install these packages.  You could also try 'telnet
bostoncoop.net', which will fail, but will tell you the IP address
first if it can find it.)

What's in /etc/resolv.conf?  How are you connecting?
