What you said was, and allow me to excerpt from your message (since you omitted the relevant parts out of your recap) here is:
>Of course, the Massachusetts "Gongress" delegation is rarely all in-state at the same time, since they work and mostly live in Washington, DC. We do meet with the Massachusetts Legislature's Bicycle Caucus, and other members, in state.
I never realized that you had to meet with them all at the same time or it didn't count. But you've got two Congressmen well involved with biking, so meeting with them in DC can't be the overriding issue in going down there. And given Kerry's house on Beacon Hill and the Kennedy compound in Hyannis, I would allege they do spend considerable amounts of time right here in the Bay State. Cycling even.
MassBike is paying
for exactly one
>person to go to the National Bike Summit. That's Executive
Director Dorie
>Clarke, and considering that she's working for substantially
less than I
>(for one) think she deserves given the hours she's put into
the job and
>how fast she's come up to speed on it since she was hired
last spring,
>it's the least that we should do to send her down and put her
in a hotel
>for a couple days.
Well, you know, since she's really nice and has come up to speed really fast I think she should earn more, it is the least MassBike can do with your membership dollars to send her to DC and put her in a hotel for a couple of days. If she were mean, they wouldn't send her. Tom, you write this and you're accusing ME of trolling?
If you want to send her down to work with advocacy groups and the bike industry, that's your option, but a) do they have anything to do with MASSACHUSETTS BIKING, which of course are the two words from which the MassBike name has been obtained, and b) don't claim that it is about lobbying the Mass Congressional delegation who are frequently here in Massachusetts, and at least one member of which is organizing their own fund raising bike ride. Make some calls, make some appointments. It is easier than you think.
While I have tried to refrain from name calling in this public forum and rather engage is more substantive issues, I will also go on the record that Tom's attitude, as demonstrated to me previous to this entire engagement, and his blinkered "my way or the highway" outlook, not to mention his less than stellar behaviour towards me was a significant factor in my leaving MassBike. Not the only factor by far, but a highly indicative one. If this was a person they were going to choose to represent them in public as their Vice President, it was obvious that a lot of people were going to be very unhappy. And if people aren't happy, not much gets accomplished. I know I was offended.

No, that's not what I said. Not even a little bit. Nope, not
close at all.
But that's okay. It's been fun, in a strange way. So, thanks.
"Is there anybody else up there we can talk to?" "No! Now go
away, or I shall taunt you a second time!"
I will say, I've been around the block a few times, and I
usually realize when I'm being trolled a lot earlier than
this. You really got me on this one, Anne. Nice going.
Now I'm getting out of the way before the cow comes flying
over the castle walls ... enjoy the Castle Aarrrrgghh.

For the record, here's what Anne is responding to, if anyone
cares to re-read it:
