[*BCM*] Fridays Ride

Hi,

I am thinking of heading up to do this Fridays ride.  I have a friend
who would like to ride also.  Approximately how far/ long is the ride?
 Is it hilly or flat.  I ride a fixed gear and am trying to figure out
gearing for it.  Also do most of you use lights on the ride?
