Jamie's not using the Debian Drupal package; he has a local install in 
his home dir. Debian has never done a great job of dealing with web apps 
that are really designed for per-user rather than systemwide installation.

But I'm not sure if the function it's looking for is supposed to be in 
PHP or Drupal. Maybe the latest Drupal is out of sync with the PHP 
version we have installed? Just guessing.
