Groove -- now a part of Microsoft Office
-- really does seem to me like the best
way to do this. It was designed from the
ground up to achieve exactly what you're
aiming for.

Among open-source apps, I can't think of
anything offhand. A Zope-ish thing would
get most of it. Though I hate Zope.
There must be a 21st-century Zope-ish
bit of business.
