I still think there might be something going on with the naming issue -- 
maybe you need an o=debian in preferences? Mixing distributions doesn't 
work the same way as mixing releases within a distribution.

Also with a high enough pin number, you shouldn't need to specify the 
target release with apt-get/aptitude.
