[Linux-disciples] Merging two .pdf or .docs for duplex printing

I don't know if this is possible, but I have seen some pretty nifty commands
over the years here.
Each month I get a one page of a newsletter from one person and the second
page from another. So, I currently print out one side and then feed the
paper through to print on the other side, almost always causing jamming
issues. However, our printer/copier can print duplex, so I would much
rather only have to press print once.
Is there a command that can merge "Document B" into every other page of
"Document A"?
Or is there a print command that can print page 1 of "Document A" and then
page 1 of "Document B" on the backside followed by pgs. 2,3,4... ?
