Linux ubuntu 2.6.20-16-386 #2 Fri Aug 31 00:51:58 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

Thanks, I am still sort of working on this. When I plug this drive in, it
frequently does mount automatically. When I start the computer with it
plugged in, I have to dmesg, change the fstab (e.g. sda1 to sdb1), and sudo
mount. Hal etc. is installed. All relevant ntfs tools are installed.
pmount didn't seem to make a difference. I am looking into "addressing the
device by label rather than node".

It seems like it is fine for a day or two, and then I get read/write
problems. I am following other lists on this topic and I'll report back
when everything is working smoothly. Thanks.
