[Linux-disciples] /bin/cc

[Stephen R Laniel]

The cpan program just failed to install a module here under
Ubuntu, as it turns out because /usr/bin/cc didn't exist. I
created a symlink from there to /usr/bin/gcc and everything
worked fine. But I presume that this isn't the best
practice; I tend to feel like I should keep my hands out of
/usr/bin . Is there an approved way to get the symlink?
