[Linux-disciples] cron

I have this file on my Debian system /etc/cron.d/sendmail. It is a cron
job and to make a long story short is a bit of a nuisance for me and I
don't need it anyway. So I delete it. The next time I restart my
computer, the file is there again. How can I find out what process is
adding this cron job every time?

"apt-get remove sendmail" produced these results:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package sendmail is not installed, so not removed
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 456 not upgraded.

Also, "grep sendmail /etc/init.d/*" produced no relevant results...what
gives?

Thanks,
Brian
