[Linux-disciples] Question about syntax using mv

Two questions:
Is that the same as either option I suggested just far more elegant?
Also, there is a set of files that I want to overwrite there if they
are duplicates, wouldn't i need the "f" argument? Wouldn't I need the
"r" argument since it is a directory?
