Come to think of it: shouldn't it be possible to use
something like debootstrap, except limited to just bind and
what bind depends on? Ideally, I'd be able to do

sudo chroot /chroot/named apt-get install bind

I just tried that, though, and unfortunately the trouble is
that by the time bash sees the 'apt-get' command, it doesn't
know about /usr/bin/ (where apt-get lives).
