[Linux-disciples] countdown

Does anyone know of a graphically compelling way to project a countdown? We
have projection equipment at our church and it would be nice to have
something that said 3:00, 2:59, 2:58 ... minutes before worship.
Theoretically, I could do a chron on a series of jpg's, but I would much
rather have a single file (maybe an mpeg) than 180 images.
