I looked at the source for gnome-applets, and nowhere did
'screenshot' appear in a relevant context. So I did a ps aux
before taking a screenshot and a ps aux when the screenshot
app was running, then looked at the differences. Turns out
the name of the app is gnome-screenshot. Then a 'dlocate
gnome-screenshot' gives
gnome-utils: /usr/bin/gnome-screenshot
gnome-utils: /usr/share/gnome-screenshot
gnome-utils: /usr/share/gnome-screenshot/glade
gnome-utils: /usr/share/gnome-screenshot/glade/gnome-screenshot.glade
gnome-utils: /usr/share/gconf/schemas/gnome-screenshot.schemas
So there's our answer. Now I'm going to dig around in the
source and figure out why it implements the save dialog
improperly.
