You'll need to tell him or her to install an scp client like
pscp:
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
or secure FTP (same page). If they already know how to use
FTP, you should be golden.
If your question is about how to teach, then that's probably
not something that I can tell you.
