[Linux-disciples] Filing a GNOME bug

There's a very stupid bit of UI badness in GNOME 2 or GTK+
-- I don't know which component, and that's my question --
on which I'd like to file a bug. Namely, try taking a
screenshot by pressing the PrintScreen key. Up comes a
file-save dialog. You have two fields: "Name", and "Save in
Folder." What happens if you try to type the folder and name
in the Name field (e.g., "~/Screenshot.png")? The file-save
dialog disappears, and the file doesn't get saved -- doesn't
get saved anywhere, as far as I can tell.

I think this is a problem in the PrintScreen implementation,
not the save dialog itself: if I use the Save As feature in
Evolution, say, which I'm fairly certain is using the
GNOME2/GTK+ API, it saves fine. Ditto Firefox, though I'm
not as sure which widgets it's using.

So

1) Which package do I file the bug against?
and
2) More generally, when I see a GNOME component failing, how
do I figure out which subcomponent is to blame?
