I just did an apt-get upgrade, and it turns out that GDM was
upgraded. So I logged out of my Gnome session, went over to
a virtual terminal and did a 'sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart'.
The output was:
Stopping GNOME Display Manager: gdm not running.
Starting GNOME Display Manager: gdm already running.
Um ... anyone have any thoughts on this?
