Still no progress figuring out these dma_timer errors, but the timing is
very suspicious. Here is a list of every time these errors have
occurred, sort'ed and uniq'ed:
00:40:24
00:40:49
12:14:35
12:27:46
12:28:16
12:40:18
12:48:13
14:00:02
14:19:35
14:20:00
17:36:56
21:21:01
21:21:26
Not entirely predictable, but doesn't it seem at least a little suspicous
that it seems to be on the :00 :20 and :40? Maybe someone who knows
probability could determine whether or not this could just be totally
random because it's a small sample.
I can't for the life of me figure out what could be happening every
twenty minutes, though, and syslog doesn't reveal any clues. There is an
hourly /etc/cron.hourly/ run-parts, but there isn't anything *in* that
directory. None of the SMART settings correspond to twenty minutes.
So is it just my imagination?
