[Linux-disciples] Permissions/Ownership on Apache Log Files

Is it possible to specify the umask and/or ownership of log files created
by apache? Each domain hosted at bostoncoop.net has its own access and
error log, and I'd like those to be manipulable by the respective owners
of those domains. Of course, they could just be read-only root-owned and
the users could copy them to their local directory if they wanted, but I
thought it would make more sense to give them their own ownership.
Any way to do it? I can make the directory setgid so that they are
group-user, but setuid has no effect.
Googling and RTFMing briefly reveals no hints.
