In my experience, it takes betweeen 1 and 3 weeks.
But you should just build your own, like other real men.
Get the source from http://kernel.org, then run make-kpkg kernel_image.
Use the config from your currently working/running kernel as a template:
cp /boot/config-`uname -r` .config.
