[Linux-disciples] Timeouts using ssh over wireless

I've got a new wireless laptop, and most of the time
everything works great. Every now and then, though,
long-lasting connections -- ssh, say, or large file
downloads -- time out. This would be the problem that Adam
mentioned in [1], except that sometimes the problem (I
assume it's the same problem) makes ssh take forever to
connect, such that it times out and dies.

I'd ask for a specific bit of help here on this specific
problem -- and you guys are welcome to contribute such a
thing -- but probably the better approach would be to watch
the packets stream by so that I can see how the handshake
happens and where it gets hung up. I suspect this would bear
more fruit in the long term.

So: any recommendations on packet sniffers, a la Microsoft's
netmon tool?
