I forwarded your responses regarding cheaper, better,
more morally sound alternatives to someone with
standing in the church.  He replied...

"Actually you suggest a good alternative route. If you
could work up prices for a comparable Linux-based
system, with fees for support, that might be a good
way to approach the NIC folks. Support is probably of
key importance, I think the public fear of *nix is
that they won;t have anyone to call on the phone to
ask basic questions, etc."

So, does anybody have any advice on where to go from here?
