[Linux-disciples] A Linux course

Adam had a fantastic idea: organize a class to teach Linux
to people in the Boston area. He suggested maybe doing it
through BCAE over four Saturdays, starting from the most
basic material and moving along to more advanced topics.
Perhaps people could pay a small fee, all or most of which
would go directly to the Free Software Foundation. At the
end, they'd get a copy of Knoppix or Ubuntu or somesuch on
CD.

I'm curious how much interest there is in such a course
around here. I think maybe we ought to see how much interest
there is, then talk with BCAE or a local college about
borrowing a computer lab for an afternoon. ... I suppose
that might be difficult, given that we might discuss
installing Linux from a blank hard drive. These are issues
to discuss.

Sounds like a great idea, doesn't it?
