You could try lqtplay from quicktime-x11utils.

Also note that it will depend on the codec; QuickTime is a container
format, and there are many different codecs, and I'm pretty sure not all
of them are free.

Oddly enough, I'm trying to work with some quicktime files as well, for
my Chinese class, without luck so far.
