Our ride at 10 AM on May 17 is only one of dozens of Bay State Bike Week
events. Here are some highlights:

The Cambridge Bicycle Network Plan is underway and the city is looking for
input from everyone who bikes or would like to bike in the city. Last year,
Cambridge received a Bicycle Friendly City Gold Rating. You can help
improve that standing and make Cambridge comfortable for all bicyclists,
whether they’re eight or 80 years old. Visit Bikes in Cambridge and share
your ideas.

You can still sign up for this weekend’s free On-bike Training workshop at
the Alewife bike cage. On Saturday, May 10, at 2 PM, you’ll learn the
basics of on riding, turning, and navigating in the city. RSVP Jennifer
Lawrence by email to jlawrence at cambridgema.gov or phone 617-349-4671.

May 15 between 5 and 7 PM for a free mini tune-up from Urban AdvenTours,
plus bike tour guidance from Bikabout, juice and smoothies from Bambara,
and even a yoga class. For every bike tune-up, the Hotel Marlowe will
donate $5 to Dana-Farber’s Pan-Mass Challenge fundraising bike-a-thon.

Our Sound+Vision tour of public art on Saturday, May 17 will be your chance
to celebrate Bike Week with hundreds of fellow cyclists. Staring at 10 AM,
and leaving from the main library at 449 Broadway, we’ll circle Cambridge,
visiting over 20 public art locations including the city-wide sound art
performance ROUND:Cambridge.
