=v= Nihilistic, huh?  Interesting hypothesis.  I find the actual
event to be pretty much the opposite, but listservs do have
their own virtual reality.

=v= Helmet use has been an inflammatory topic online for longer
than Critical Mass has existed, and troublesome offline for
longer than the Internet has existed.
