Your question is large - and perhaps unanswerable.

CM is really just a time and place for bicyclists to meet & ride together. 
It isn't political in a clear way, but the individuals who participate may 
be politically involved in action on behalf of cyclists.  The list that you 
wrote in to includes 100's of individuals who may or may not participate in 
the actual ride.  All seem to be quite concerned with bicycling.

Please ride with us - it can be a lot of fun - a party on wheels.  You may 
also see areas of the city that are new to you.
