They're common in industrial agriculture, because the chemicals used
there are extremely toxic. Some of the sprays are fatal after being
diluted 10,000:1 or more (especially fungicides), so the educated,
white, wealthy people using them take significant precautions. However,
those positive pressure units only supply a small amount of air so
you would need more than one (they're designed to support someone
who is sitting around driving, not doing exercise).

I've used a unit like that in New Zealand, and tested it by running
around with just the helmet and filter on. Bad idea, my head got very
very hot and there wasn't enough air coming through.
