please see attached:  this is  intended to be an educational/fun ride...my 
guess is that traffic laws (signals,  etc) will be observed in most cases.

BOSTON AREA CYCLISTS AND FARM and FOOD  ACTIVISTS: SAVE THE DATE FOR THE 
FIRST 
ANNUAL TOUR D’ FARMS BIKE TOUR  --  SATURDAY, AUGUST 12

As  part of Boston’s “Hub on  Wheels Initiative”

the  Tour d’ Farms is one of several community bike rides planned over the  
summer  that highlight local efforts to create  sustainable  communities.

Tour d'  Farms
Saturday, Aug 12  
The Tour d' Farms bike tour will visit  three sites in and around the Boston 
area dedicated to strengthening  Boston's local and sustainable food 
production  
system. Riders will  visit several cutting edge urban agriculture projects 
and  
hear brief  presentations about Boston's growing local food movement. These  
include an urban farm, CSA, farmers market and a new community farm.  Riders  
will get to sample delicious, locally grown farm products, and  learn how 
they  
can actively support these efforts. The ride will  traverse through the  
neighborhoods of Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan,  Milton and the beautiful 
Blue 
Hills  Reservation and surrounding  communities. 

START AND FINISH: The ride will begin from and finish at  Franklin Park, 
opposite the rear entrance to the Franklin Park  Zoo.
REGISTRATION: 8:30AM
START: 9:00am 
FINISH: 1:00pm 
DISTANCE:  25 miles – road bikes encouraged.
