Congratulations to Landry's Bicycles: Named as 2006 Bicycle Retailer of the
Year for Advocacy Support

MassBike would like to congratulate Landry's Bicycles, which has been
nationally recognized as 2006 Bicycle Retailer of the Year for Advocacy
Support. This recognition is due in large part to Landry’s innovative
program, developed last year, in which Landry’s staff discuss the benefits
of bicycle advocacy with their customers and sell MassBike and NEMBA
memberships. Landry’s staff have sold an incredible 300 MassBike memberships
in the past year and helped encourage their customers to become more
involved in bicycle advocacy. In addition, Landry's has been again named one
of the Top 100 Best Bicycle Retailers in the country by a panel of leading
manufacturers. Congratulations and thanks!

If your bike shop would like to start selling MassBike and NEMBA
memberships, please email Vance at massbike.org.

Bike-Loving Artists Wanted

Are you an artist? Do you love bikes? If so, MassBike needs your help (and
wants to help promote you). We are getting started early collecting
donations of bike-related art for our Bike Night silent auction this fall.
We would very much appreciate your donated work and are excited to help
promote you and other artists who care about cycling at this event. We are
not looking for decorated bikes; specifically, we’re seeking (small) items
such as drawing/paintings of bikes; small sculptures incorporating bike
parts; etc. If you would like to make a bike art donation, please email
vance at massbike.org. Thank you!
