[*BCM*] taping up the frame

using ok-good quality electrical tape is your best bet- it won't rub off
like other tapes. also you can spray paint your bike ugly looking, just
with a matt finish in whatever given color.  do indeed tape under the
cables/housing, avoding anything that's not part of the tubes of the
frame itself.
