[*BCM*] taping up the frame

well after 10 years the frame on my Univega finally cracked. So now I have  
basically the same bike parts on a shiny new frame that I want to look less new 
 (cuz I bike all around the city), so I am thinking tape it.... but what tape 
 should I get and when you tape, I assume you tape under the cabling.....
 
any ideas would be great.... thanks
