Hi Mr. Winslow,
 
My name is Betsy Gwin and I am part of the planning committee for the 5th annual Save Our Homes Walk to Prevent Homelessness in Somerville.  It is a fun 5K fundraiser walk and community event with music, food and prizes, and it is all for a good cause - preventing Somerville residents from becoming homeless.  This year, it will take place on Sunday, April 27th, at 2pm.  The walk begins and ends at the Somerville High School, and tours past numerous affordable housing sites in the city - please see the attached flyer and fact sheet.
 
I am in charge of organizing teams of walkers for the event, and I would love to work with you and your organization to build a team of walkers (or bikers?).  Forming a team is easy - you only need three or more people to start.  If you're interested, please let me know and I'd be happy to talk with you further, send you more materials, or even meet with you and the committee at one of your mothly meetings to talk about the walk.
