[SBC] Artist wants us to hold our fall ride in September

I received the following request from a local artist who is
exhibiting at the Somerville Museum in September.
I replied that we probably can't do this, for several reasons:

    - after having our spring ride a month late, we're a bit too
tired out to think of having our fall ride a month early
    - Saturday 9/22 is the Jewish fast day of Yom Kippur
    - Saturday 9/29 is Dick Bauer's Middlesex Canal ride
    - Saturday 10/6 is Columbus Day weekend; we generally avoid
holiday weekends. I also don't want to conflict with the Honk Festival.

Subject: Fall Somerville Bicycle Ride

Hi Ron,

I am sorry I missed the reschedule bike ride last Sat. I had family
in town and we already had Freedom Trail plans.

I want you know that next Fall I am co curating an all New England
Mosaic Exhibit at the Somerville Museum and let you know our Saturday
Schedule should you plan to schedule a bike ride and finish up at the
Museum ......... which I hope you do.

Saturdays 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29 and 10/6 we will be having Mosaic
Demonstrations at both 1 PM and 3 PM. It would be terrific to have
your Bicycle enthusiasts end their Historic bicycle tour at the
Museum around 12 noon for refreshments (as you provided this past
Saturday and we ask you to again provide refreshments) then those who
are interested could enjoy the exhibit and the 1 PM Mosaic
Demonstration.

the website for our Exhibit is http://
www.exhibition.mosaicrocks.com It will be regularly updated as
specific information is scheduled into the events supporting the five
week exhibit. Should you schedule a ride, we could add your contact
information to our Calendar.

ALSO, for your planning THE HONK FEST will be OCTOBER 5, 6, 7th
this Fall in Davis Sq.

I do hope you and Brandon Wilson can plan a bicycle ride so that
participants will also benefit from attending the all N E Mosaic
Exhibit at the Museum.

  Margaret
