[SBC] MaxPac Site

Dear Alderman O’Donovan:

As you know, the Somerville Bicycle Committee (SBC) and the Friends of the
Community Path have great interest in the MaxPac Site and its proposed
redevelopment, especially because of its location on the proposed Community
Path extension.

Members of both organizations have been to most all the public and community
meetings and the SBC has met twice with KSS. Also, Asher Miller was our
unofficial representative on the MaxPac Citizens Review Committee. We were also
ready to present comments on the proposed rezoning when there was to be a public
hearing back in October.

We have heard that there are new negotiations occurring between the City and the
developer concerning the redevelopment plans and its impact on the proposed
Community Path extension. The SBC wants to have input into this process and
would like to be invited to the next meeting.
