FYI-

I am planning to go. This is an opportunity to raise questions about what the MDCR plans for the SOMERVILLE side of the Alewife Brook Parkway. For instance:

If you have a chance beforehand, please check out the new Dilboy Field/Stadium. It's a beautiful facility, and I've been assured that bike racks will be installed. You will notice that the sidewalk/path stops at the stadium driveway, although you can ride around the metal barracades in front of the stadium. The big improvement here is that parking is NOT allowed in front of the stadium, keeping the area free for peds and bikes, etc. But, on the other side, nothing has changed to the sprawling parking lot you must traverse in order to get to back to the path.

>On a vaguely related matter, I just went on a Walk Boston walk led by Dan

>This project is at 25% design and a public hearing will be held Monday,

>Public Libary (I'll get details).

>They are hoping to get a Transportation
>Enhancements grant for around $2 million and if so construction could
>start as early as fall 2007. The plan is for a 10' path (8' in a few
>places with ROW constraints) paved with the "stabilizer" stuff that they
